From the minute we walked in the door with new mom and her five day old, we were greeted with smiles and helpful information. Checking in was painless. The pediatric nurses were informative and kept us informed each step of the way. Dr. Wakefield, the pediatrician, was amazing. He was very informative and willing to listen to all of mom's questions and concerns. I had no idea that any doctor would spend that much time and care with a patient of any kind. It was a very positive experience and I feel that our baby was getting the very best possible care!
I have Dr. Church she is wonderful ! I left Medical Care a little over a year ago but, I returned this past week after not having good care . I now have Dr.Church and like I said she is wonderful. She got more done for me in 20 minutes than others haven't done in an hour.
Dr. Davis was fantastic but the customer service from the support staff is atrocious. They don’t call back or respond. And if they do, it takes more than a month and the rep that calls cannot talk knowledgeably about the reason you called. Then your told someone will call you back who never does. My personal favorite is when they schedule you for an appointment in another location and don’t tell you that’s its not at your normal location. Horrible experience three times in a row so we will never step foot in this organization again.
I really am at my end with this place. I call frequently to talk to my NP or someone who can answer me. I nearly never hear back unless I leave a nasty voicemail (which I hate doing). The referral desk is useless. They entered a bunch of false information into my medical history that I never seen until I used the online portal, which btw is trash. I sent a message through the portal and a week later the message was deleted from my sent messages and no response is ever given. My thyroid levels were bad and they called to ask if I'm still taking my meds and never followed up after that. And when I ran out of meds and asked them to refill at a different pharmacy, I had to call 3 times, have Walgreens call, text 2 times all before it was fixed and it took WEEKS. I've been BEGGING for my NP to send a special Rx form into my insurance and she still won't reply to my calls. I literally just give up. I am on the lookout for a new PCP office and say to heck with this place and these people.
Amanda Davis at the Elizabethton Medical Care is amazing. She went above and beyond expectations for a doctor caring for my son's wound. There are measures you expect from a pediatrician like making a child comfortable and providing best care, but then we get a whole next level of building his confidence and the skill of distraction to make a painful experience the best that it can possibly be. Best care we've ever experienced from an urgent facility in any network.
If you are going to see a Dr., I would advise against going here. The rest of the staff are helpful, but you will wait a LONG time. Even if you have an appointment and you are the only person in the waiting area, expect hours to be seen by a doctor who rushes through understanding of what is going on with you and just throws pills at the situation, with little to no explanation to what you are being given. The Drs here are dangerous to the overall wellbeing of their patients through lack of compassion, thorough medical practice to really help patients and general rudeness that far surpasses poor bedside manners.
It’s never ok when a practices pays attention to all individuals claiming to be on disability and cannot afford to pay for the hospital bills and gets full service treatment for free, But harasses individuals who work full time and have medical insurance to cover the co pays without giving them a chance to make payments. This is what the medical cares have come to “ money” only. I don’t care how good the doctors are if an entity puts money before human life it has failed humanity and it’s purpose of serving the community.
Incompetent!! Dr. Suda/Suri whatever her name is, is a quack! She shouldn't be seeing kids! She actually tries to ask my 4 year old her symptoms like kids don't just say whatever pops in their mind! I have a sick kid (for over 2 weeks now!) that can't sleep and has thrown up because she has so much mucous and a very wet cough! Yet, she thinks 'over the counter' medications are the answer , although she can't tell me what kind or anything! She actually tried to Google it, like I couldn't do that! She clearly isn't comfortable writing children's medications, therefore, she shouldn't be seeing children! I've already tried over the counter medicines and they haven't helped! After seeing her Monday, I called and told the nurses she was definitely sicker than 'just allergies' after she threw up from how much muscus was in her stomach.. also she's never had allergies before! It just goes in one ear and out the other. I thought the nurses were going to help me, but then I spoke with one today who just said to come back in (after telling her that specific Dr. didn't help us at all last time and I didn't want to see her) and we'd see someone else.. To only have to see the same idiot! Now I guess I'm supposed to find some magical cough medicine, last time it was allergy medicine. She has no clue what to do so it was just another 2 hours of our lives wasted! She just says, oh she's not sick.. oh really?! Because your up all night, every night and day with her with this terrible sounding cough huh? Oh wait no that's me! I guess she thinks I'm just kidding. This place, mainly this Dr, is a joke! I thought I actually spoke to a couple of competent nurses who were trying to help me. But I guess it's was all a fun game to get us to come back to the same unhelpful Dr who just keeps acting like my sick child isn't sick! I'm so exhausted from my child not getting any rest! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED RELIEF OF ANY KIND!! At least not to the Sura?woman (I couldn't tell what they were saying her name was, but she was Indian) because she WILL NOT help you. She'll just make you more aggravated and exhausted than you already are by acting like your crazy for needing some sort of medicine for your kid! I have private insurance, so I should be able to get top knotch care. Trust me. It will never ever be wasted here again!!
